~ Our visit to Barbadillo winery ~

The wine making process:
First vines are grown in a soil called 'Albariza'. 


Then, Palomino grapes are carefully cut from the vines.

Next to, musts are poured in metal tanks.

After that, The new wines are classified for ageing.


The wine is fortified with alcohol from the wines. Casks are made of American oak.

Then, older winesare blended with younger wines.

After that, Fino wines are aged under yeast or 'velo de flor'.


Finally, wine is bottled from the lower butt.


Manzanilla is produced only in Sanlúcar de Barrameda. Barbadillo wines are sold worldwide.
